Team Swap Twist – Have Your Say
The World Wide Intertubes are abuzz tonight with discussion about the results of The Walk from the latest episode – the Team Swap Twist.
Many are saying that this latest twist is turning the show into a fatties version of Big Brother, with not many people saying this is a good thing for the show.
What do you think?
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.Personally, I’m a bit on the fence on this one. On the one hand, I hate that they set the teams up to try and work together towards the common good and send them off on exercises to emphasise that team based approach and then turn around and force people to swap teams once they’ve got a good rapport going.
On the other hand, I can’t help feeling that this is the best thing that could happen for Laura, who is most in need of this opportunity, with the worst chance of getting to stick around long enough to take advantage of it. Now that she’s with the much more nurturing Blue team, along with her mate P’eta, I’m hoping she’ll get a chance to come out of her shell and kick some arse.
I realise it’s a TV show and that they therefore need it to be Must See TV, but I just wonder if maybe this sort of thing is better left to shows that’re more manipulative in nature by design. All this backstabbing and conniving is really detracting from the otherwise very positive message the show has.
