Biggest Loser Australia 3×69: Train the Trainers, Audition Tape Redux and Dream Outfits Day!
Tonight on The Biggest Loser… wait, what episode is this?
SIXTY-NINE, DUDE! Awww yeah.
Ahem. Tonight on The Biggest Loser is Train the Trainers day and Dream Outfits day all rolled into one.
Can the contestants make Shannan or Michelle puke?
Read on to find out…
Everyone comes out of the elimination room. Bryce is gutted that Michelle is gone.
“She was a bloody good egg.” He says.
He thinks Michelle will keep losing weight on the outside. She’s got all the right ingredients to make a good go of it.
Sam congratulates everyone on making it to the final week.
Sam says someone sitting on the lounge is going to win this!
Alison says in an aside that it’s amazing that 3 Blues have made it so far.
And Garry knows that with 3 Blues, himself and Bryce are in great danger.
Bryce knows he’s got a big target on his head. It’s been there for weeks, he’s said.
Sam says Blue is like ants! Even if one of them goes below the Line, there’s still two of them above it, so they’d still have a majority.
Alison says it would be devastating if one of them left before the end.
Bob’s on the phone to have a chat with Bryce. Bob asks where Michelle is and Bryce says she only lost 100 grams and lies about not knowing what was happening there.
He goes through the elimination stuff and how she was below the Line with Kirsten. Bob says if they were playing the game the way he’d play the game, they should have gotten rid of one of the biggest threats, but it shows their loyalty.
Bryce says it’s fine being out there by himself now, he does his best work when under the pump.
Bob says he’s really happy with Bryce’s attitude. He’s always very positive and you need that in the House. You’ve got to know why you’re there and Bryce does!
“Bryce, you can do anything that you put your mind to. […] Show them what a threat you are!”
Bob is sure Bryce will be in the Finals. He says there’s a reason why he made it back into the House and it’s because Bryce will be the Biggest Loser.
Like Michelle will be, Bob? Or not like that.
He’s still convinced the Biggest Loser will be a Black Team member, it seems.
GYM CLOSED TO CONTESTANTS.
It’s your turn to train the trainers.
You have an hour to show what you’ve learnt.
IT’S PAYBACK!
The three ex-Blues decide it would only be fair for them to take Shannan while Garry and Bryce take on Michelle.
Alison says her favourite to put Shannan through would be “burpies”. Which is putting your arms above your head then dropping down to the ground and doing a push up and getting back up and putting your hands above your head. Over and over and over.
Bryce says he’s done about 4 million of them, so Michelle will be getting some of them, too!
“Sprints on the treadmills? You think that might be too much?” “Nahhh!” Bryce and Garry.
Blue decide to throw in some crab crawling, too.
Bryce says he’s had input from all the trainers on offer, so he can set out quite a competent training session now. And Michelle’s going to cop it!
Michelle and Shannan rock up, knowing there’d been an elimination.
When Shannan gets in, he sees his three ex-Blues. He says he knows it might be inappropriate, but he literally jumped with joy! Gives the girls a big cuddle and shakes the hands of all the lads.
Shannan says Kirsten falling below the line was a perfect example of how sometimes the scales just don’t go in your favour.
Shannan laughs at Sam being stuck right on 100kg.
Michelle squeals at Garry’s loss, too, saying it’s fantastic.
Shannan’s also very impressed with Alison’s loss, especially being Biggest Loser. Michelle gives her a clap and congratulates her as well, saying getting Biggest Loser this late in the game is impressive.
Bryce says that Alison getting Biggest Loser this late in the game puts an end to the “garbage” that a woman can’t win.
I don’t think he understands how the game works. Winning one week won’t get the job done!
Shannan and Michelle bounce up and say it’s time for training and Kirsten says… hold up, we’ve got a surpriiiiiiiise!
Michelle wanders in with a smile on her face… which becomes a little pasted on once she sees the big warning sign. When she’s read it she wails, “Oh Shannan!” And flings herself into his arms for a hug.
Shannan meanwhile is cracking up. But he looks a little scared!
He says he’s been extracting his pound of flesh, literally, from his contestants… and now it’s payback time!
Bryce tells Michelle that he wasn’t trained by her… but he’s going to be The Commando for the day!
Sam says the focus for today’s training session will be… intensity. And Alison adds, “Revenge.”
Shannan says, “Aww, but I didn’t bring me asthma spray, me legs a bit sore from training and I haven’t got a water bottle and…” Hilarious. The girls ask him if he’s whinging? Get down and give us 20!
“That’s a kind of power we’ve never had over him before. And we LIKED it.” – Sam
They get him on the treadmill. At a speed a bit more than you’d usually start at, but Alison says he can handle it!
They’ve got him doing intervals. Short while on, short while off.
Shannan says if they’re going to keep the weight off they’ve got to learn how to construct their own training sessions and this is a good chance for him to check on their progress.
As soon as the intervals are done they have him doing an incline. Alison hates inclines, hates them with a passion!
They move the incline up to 15 degrees and Sam wipes his hands of it, he doesn’t want blood on his hands!
Alison tells him not to jog! March!
Shannan says the gentle, kind, caring Mum with a finger in his spine, roasting him! He’s created a monster!
They’re only about 10 minutes in and Alison says he’s already looking pretty messy!
Sam says it didn’t kick in until he saw Shannan’s face and how hard it was going to be on him… “We’re going to get payback!”
Meanwhile Bryce and Garry have Michelle, who is looking really perky and happy at the start.
Michelle says she knew she had to keep a stony face. She knows she can’t flinch, but underneath she’s thinking they’re going to kill her!
Bryce is still doing his Commando impression. And he gets Michelle doing burpies.
“Eurgh. They’re just revolting.” Michelle says she’s hurting! But no way was she going to let them see her break! She sucks it up and keeps on going.
Michelle says much what Shannan did. It’s not just brutalising the trainers, it’s showing that the contestants can put together their own physical programs and do it on the outside.
Michelle’s looking damn fine in her sweaty state. Just in case anyone was curious.
Blue take Shannan outside for some more training. Shannan says that his heart was already hanging out of his mouth after the warm up!
“ON YER GUTS!”
Sam remembers the first day and realises something is missing! Alison and Kirsten sneak up behind Shannan while he’s holding a pushup… and dump a couple of buckets of water on him. Shannan laughs.
Shannan’s going hard through the session. Kirsten says it was great seeing him doing everything they’ve done.
Alison says there was moments where she thought maybe they should slow it down a bit… but then she thinks no, he’s tough, he can do it!
Shannan says he’s at his max, he’s spent, but he can’t let it show!
Kirsten starts counting down from 6… but then loses count at 5 and asks the others what number she was up to. Sam flails and says 3!
Shannan says at the end of the session he was totally exhausted and it was a testament to how well he’d taught Blue.
Bryce says he’d heard about the guys having to do squats against the wall and getting someone to stand on their legs. So Bryce decides to test Michelle that way.
Bryce hops up on Michelle’s legs, saying to let him know if anything goes wrong.
Michelle says having Bryce on her legs got through that exercise, but she wanted to show the guys why she’s the trainer. So she asked for Garry to get on her legs, too.
Garry’s worried he’ll squash her!
Michelle’s definitely feeling the burn now! In an aside she says that yep, she felt it!
Bryce says he was impressed by her taking his weight, but to take Garry right after? He tips his hat to her.
Next one was a replay of the payback after a Temptation, where they’d had backpacks with 15kg on the treadmills.
Michelle’s doing it tough. Not surprising, 15kg is probably only a little less than a third of her weight?
Bryce says he knows she doesn’t have a lot left in the tank now. If they don’t lighten up on her soon, they might actually hurt her.
Michelle’s feeling pretty sick at the end, she says. “There was a moment where I thought maybe I could give them the pleasure of vomiting, but no. I held it together!”
Michelle says they’d done a great job, she was exhausted!
“Payback is a bitch. Just remember that!” – Michelle
Alison says Shannan probably won’t admit it but he probably worked harder today than he’s worked in a long time!
Alison thanks Shannan for everything he’s done for them, because they wouldn’t be here but for him.
Shannan says he wouldn’t be there either. Seeing them win and what they’ve done charges him up.
Alison says they want to make him proud and Shannan says they’ve made him proud anyway, they get better every week!
And now it’s time for Michelle to give it right back to Bryce and Garry! She rips the “It’s Payback!” bit off the sign and waves it at the boys.
Michelle it all comes together in the last week. It’s time for these boys to really pull it off!
As in, get to the finals.
Shannan says to prove to Blue how fit they are, they’re going to go through what they just put him through! Shannan guarantees they’re fit enough to complete the session.
Sam says he knew this was coming, he knew they should have just made him go for a brisk walk through a nice park! “You’re an idiot, Sam!”
Shannan’s cackling gleefully as he puts them through their paces. He says in an aside that the intervals they’re doing today the people in a commercial gym would not be able to keep up with.
Shannan says to them that it’s like living a nightmare, isn’t it? He pinches Alison to see if she’ll wake up and Alison squeals!
Shannan’s hoping they can get right through the session to show them how fit they are now.
Sam says it’s great having his fitness praised because it’s not something he’s ever really had.
Shannan says fat no longer traps them, it no longer holds them up. This is their last chance, this is their last chance to put three Blue people on the podium at the Finale!
Friendship and bonds that they’ve forged in there have allowed them to get through.
Michelle’s training Bryce for the first time. She wants to see how motivated and determined he is when he’s training up against someone else. And Michelle says he’s very determined. Every time she asks for more, he gives it. He’s got a steely look of determination and that’s something to be a little scared of if you’ve got to go up against it!
Garry’s very impressed, too. He thinks Bryce is at the peak of his fitness.
Bryce says Garry’s a genuine contender for the title. He’s got a lot of weight to lose!
Garry was doing really well until his quad muscle seizes up. He’s not sure if it’s just pulled or if it’s torn.
Coming into the final week is the very last thing he needs.
Garry’s back down to walking pace, but he’s getting angry and letting it get to him.
After training they sit everyone down to have them look at their audition tapes to show them how far they’ve come.
Michelle knows it’s going to be a hard thing for some of them to do.
Sam’s really not looking forward to it and seeing his audition tape, it’s easy to see why. He was a blob of a boy back then. Looks so much better now.
He says he’d actually lied a bit during the audition, where he said that the bullying never used to bother him. He’s pretty sure old chubby Sam wouldn’t appreciate new Sam saying that, because it did.
Alison says she just wanted to hug Sam, because he’s such a beautiful boy and he deserves the world.
Sam says he didn’t realise he was that big. You see photos and see the mirror but you just don’t realise. “Chunky boy! Bloody hell!”
Bryce looks very uncomfortable as soon as his audition tape starts. He looked terrible, Bryce says that back then he actually thought he looked pretty good. Now he knows he really didn’t. He’s also realised the audition was where he finally really admitted that he had a problem.
Bryce says it was his lowest point ever. He says he’d been thinking that he didn’t look too bad, good job, good girl… but you’re filthy on yourself and it’s hard to admit.
Kirsten had almost forgotten what she looked like before. Her’s was one of the faces that didn’t really look all that big, but comparing it to her now, it’s obvious even she was carrying a lot of weight around the face.
She says she was really lonely, but now she feels a lot stronger and confident and mostly just a lot happier!
Kirsten wags her finger at Alison who looks like she might be about to cry!
Alison is horrified at her tape. She never knew she could do the things she’s done. Sitting there now and looking at that she feels a world apart from that person. She wishes she could have told that person 10 years ago how good life could be.
Garry says he looks back on all the years he wasted being fat and unhappy.
Michelle asks him if he can remember that man and Garry can’t answer. Michelle tells him he’s done amazing things and Garry says he doesn’t want to go back there.
Garry says he thought he was just meant to be fat, but he doesn’t want that. He wants to be able to go out with friends if they ask him to go out and do something. “You want to live.” Garry agrees with Michelle.
And now it’s time for the dream outfit!
Alison’s outfit is a nice shiny blue top with some blue jeans.
Alison says she’s had to dress like a fifty year old for the last few years.
Shannan says she’d written herself off, would never be sexy again, even though she’s only 34 years old.
Kirsten’s dream outfit is the dress she wore for her 21st birthday.
She’s had it in the wardrobe hoping she’d get back to that size again.
Garry’s is just a nice white shirt and pants.
“Going out to a bar or restaurant.” “Going out with your friends, going out to clubs.” “Chasing the ladiiiies.” Michelle giggles.
Sam’s is just a nice checked shirt, which he’d thought wasn’t even achievable when he came into the House.
Sam says he’d had one pair of jeans that were skintight on him, which he says is not a good look at 150kg!
And Bryce’s dream outfit is some riding leathers. As I said on the official forums, Bryce is a bike nut. He loves his motorcycle, he says, and at 140kg it’s impossible to find leathers for riding on the track, so he couldn’t do it.
Bryce’s dream outfit means he’ll finally be able to go out on the track again, which he’s been dreaming about for ages.
Shannan’s really eager to see them. Michelle is excited!
She says they’re always in training gear, so being able to see them dressed up is exciting!
Garry comes in first and looks pretty cool. His outfit is actually loose on him!
Bryce looks like his leathers might be a little tight. Guess that will work itself out as he wears them in though.
Kirsten looks really pretty in her swish dress.
Alison looks really cute in her top and jeans.
Sam looks just like any other kid his age.
Sam snaps his fingers in an aside and says Garry’s looking fine tonight!
Kirsten says they’ve achieved a pretty major goal!
Bryce’s leathers are actually a little loose in some areas, which is bad since they’re meant to be skintight! Alison is very impressed!
Michelle says Alison’s outfit has got sassy written all over it! Alison says she felt sexy for the first time in a long time!
Michelle says Sam looks very cute!
Sam says he’d picked his outfit figuring it’d never happen, it’d just be a bit of a laugh. He was stunned when it actually fit. “I guess dreams really do come true” Sam says faux-deeply.
Tomorrow night it’s a blast from the past. Only this time the reward is ultimate immunity! A guaranteed ticket to the finale!
And it’s looking like quite a few of them will be stepping up to the plate. Plates loaded with all kinds of yummy junk food on them. Mmmmm.
