TBL 10×03 – Trainers Weigh In, Training Commences!
Previously on The Biggest Loser… so many foods, so many eatings, so many horrors.
We also met our new host who set the very first challenge of the season. First to the new house will get immunity for the first elimination, a huge prize.
Tonight the challenge continues and once they arrive at Camp the trainers will finally weigh in after their week of indulgences. How much weight will they have put on and who will have put on the most?
Then they’re going to do another plane pull, cool! Love those ridiculous challenges. It’s amazing what humans can do!
But as the episode picks up we see the Hailwoods getting on their ferry, though it’s still unclear whether they’ve chosen wisely.

TBL 10×02 – Princess Fiona Has Arrived! (Also, Weigh-Ins)
Previously on The Biggest Loser the trainers met their families and ate a whole bunch of unhealthy food and look, we’re all really interested in the show but IS TONY ABBOTT STILL PRIME MINISTER?
I’m writing this recap instead of popcorning the political happenings. Sigh.
Anyway, tonight we have our collection of new fatties weighing in for the very first time. No recordbreakers this year, by the sounds of it, but one is well up there. Johnee, probably? Does anyone think any of them could top him? Certainly not one of the girls, maybe one of the Jofre nephews?
Also we finally meet new host, Fiona Falkiner! She’s perrrrrrrrrrdy. She’ll be introducing the first challenge of the year, making their way to the new Camp Biggest Loser.
First group we see walking in to be weighed up is the Pestell family. They’re at the local surf club with a big crowd of onlookers/wellwishers. That’s got Mel a bit nervous because everyone’s going to know just how big she is. Jodie doesn’t really want to go in front of them at all.
Shannan says he’s enjoyed the company in the past week immensely, but the diet has been terrible. He’s most concerned for single Mum Ali and wants them to take control before the bad habits become too ingrained in the next generation.
Ali’s the first to weigh in.

TBL 10×01 – Family Feasting Fun Fair!
The following program is classified PG – Pretty Great? Plenty Gorgeous? Porky Gutful?
It’s time once more for The Biggest Loser. The tenth season is kicking off and we’re fatter than ever. We’re one of the fattest nations on Earth. So Mr Voiceover Man says we’re going back to what matters, families!
One lady needs to lose weight to have a baby, one man feels like he’s failed his family, one guy I could swear I saw at Maccas today says he’ll probably be dead in 10 years.
Once again we have all four trainers on deck, Michelle, Shannan, Commando and Tiffiny.
The Hailwoods are young parents wanting to break the cycle of obesity. The Auvales are a Samoan family who celebrate life through food. The Auvales still live at home. The Pestells are sisters battling against their weight – and each other. Because they’re girls, what do you expect?

The Biggest Loser Australia Season 10 Contestant Profiles
Season 10 contestant profiles have been added to the site. And you can add comments to them, if you like, unlike the silly official website. How good is that?
Anyway. Here’s the list, though you can also access them via the top menu as usual.
Auvales: Johnee, Tenealle, Moses, Rina.
Hailwoods: Sylvia, Kayla, Sam, Cliff.
Jofres: Rob, Pablo, Tony, Daniel.
Pestells: Terry, Melissa, Ali, Jodie.
As I suspected, not everyone has the same surname as some are unmarried partners and the like. Three of the Auvales are Pacific Islanders, which is a first for the series I think? Tenealle is white and married to Johnee and they want to have tiny babies and be fit and healthy when they do.
Pablo’s a player of video games, which is sure to do wonders for the image of gamers! Any guesses which games? He also has the biggest beard on this season so we should all cross our fingers he gets to Makeover Day!
Who do we think will be out first? Who do we think will win? Who will be the prettiest princess after Makeover Day?
The Biggest Loser Returns Sunday 13th September
The Biggest Loser Australia returns on Sunday the 13th of September at 7.30pm and will apparently only air Sunday, Monday and Tuesday each week.
Until they change it to Monday to Wednesday. And then two days in a week because something else preempts it. And then miss a week because WHO KNOWS.
So, are we excited?
