Q: What’s with the bouncing numbers on the scales?
A: The scales we see on TV are actually fake. All the Fatties are weighed in before entering the weigh-in room, their weights recorded, but not revealed to them immediately. The fluctuating number on the big screen in the weigh-in room is purely for added TV drama, as people watch the number wobble around between various numbers.

Q: Why do some contestant reactions occasionally seem faked or scripted?
A: Unsure, but this is likely due to occasionally having to reshoot various sections for whatever reason. Perhaps the microphone didn’t quite pick something up or the camera was just slightly angled wrong or they just want a better angle to shoot from.

Q: How long are they in the White House?
A: It is somewhere in the vicinity of 14 weeks (3.5 months) but the exact number is unknown, particularly since this year they have 30 contestants in total.

Q: How long do the Final Four train at home after they go home?
A: Approximately 3 months.

Q: What happens when a vote for elimination is tied?
A: During the teams phase, a hung vote results in the other team being given the right to choose any member (other than immune contestants) to eliminate from the team, regardless of the current state of the voting. When the game moves to Duos and Singles, the duo or contestant with the lowest percentage weightloss for the week is automatically eliminated in the event of a hung vote.

Q: Are there any videos available with exercise tips from the Trainers?
A: There were clips available last season with Shannan and Michelle giving training tips to viewers. It is unknown at this stage whether those videos will return or if new ones will be added to the site. Stay tuned!

Q: Is there any way to see more of the Contestant video diaries we occasionally see on the show?
A: During the second season there were much longer video diaries available on the site but it is unknown whether these extended versions will be available again this year.
