Her issues run way too deep for people like Shannan and Michelle to deal with or help her through. She needs some intensive psychiatric treatment by the sounds of it! From the way some of the past contestants have talked about the show really messing with their heads - it was potentially really dangerous putting someone as fragile as Amanda on it. That story doesn't contain anything to hint at her elimination yesterday, since her loss to date is only 34.4kg, not "almost 50kg". That she spoke from her Central Coast home just means she's eliminated *at some point* - the footage we're seeing now is actually from some time in January or early February. I suspect she'll be back at Fat Camp again before the end since they'll almost certainly have another Eliminated Contestants Challenge.
